About 300 children stand in line for heart surgery in Azerbaijan, Elsavar Aghayev the Deputy Health Minister of Azerbaijan told journalists, APA reports.
According to the Deputy Minister, the Surgery Center for Children was established 3 years ago under Scientific Surgery Center, on the basis of financial means allocated from the President’s reserve fund. 250 children have been undergone heart surgery. 300 children are expected to undergone surgery within a year.
The Deputy Minister didn’t agree with the opinions on increasing children’s heart defects: “Children have kept addressing to foreign countries or private clinics in abroad before, but the state has already solved this problem”.
