The Centre started working as the “Station of Young Naturalists” in 1988. Since 1992 it has been working as the Ecological education Centre. The basic duty of the Centre is to teach and inform the children and teenagers about Azerbaijan, the marvelous nature and ecology of Azerbaijan, to inculcate upon them the spirit of taking utmost care of natural resources of out motherland, in order to spend the pupils’ leisure hours effectively to arrange excursion to the plains and mountains of Nakhchevan AR, to collect herbs and to study the way of their utilization. In order to arrange efficient leisure hours of children the Centre organizes and holds a number of events, as well as attends the drawing exhibitions of Azerbaijan schools.
