The basic principles of the Children – Youth Activities Centre is to form the children’s outlook, to enlarge children’s information sphere, to organize their free time productively and interestingly, to reveal their talent and abilities, as well as to train young generation for independent life as decent citizens of the republic.
The three departments of the Centre – methodical, mass events and artistic activities departments deal with the works in three directions: work with the circles, general education schools of the district, as well as with the heads of the Children Union Organizations, cultural – mass events.
Meanwhile the Activities Centre works in connection with Heydar Aliyev Foundation, State Committee on Women, Family and Children Problems, Ombudsman’s Office and different state organizations, as well as NGOs.
As a non-scholastic educational Institution the Children – Youth Activities Centre of Nizami District works since 1974. At the Centre which is under the Ministry of Education about 2000 children, teenagers and youth spend their free time productively and fruitfully at different circles mentioned below:
- Drawing - National (folk) dance - Fictional reading - Song theatre - Artistic ornament - Nature lovers - Young photo tourist - Calisthenics - Chess - Physical training - Erudite - Children circus studio - Vocal - Drama - Ball dances - Carpet making - Gobelins - Mugham lovers - Accordion players - Drum players - Saz players - Tar players - Ensemble of folk musical instruments - Skilful hands - Modern dance - Young designer - Young programmer - “Chichayim”(My flower) Children theatre - English lovers - Chorus
