The Children – Youth Sport School working 1967 first dealt with sport gymnastics, subsequently the school started dealing with kinds of sport such as volleyball, basketball, table tennis and football.

By 1992 the sportsmen who engaged in these kinds of sport had successfully attended regional, republican and provincial competitions. The graduates from school such as Parviz Abbasov, Natig Salmanov, Habil Abbasov, Javid Rasulov and Etibar Akbarov have sacrificed themselves for the motherland in the war in Nagorno Karabakh.

The Children – Youth Sport School has been working in Baku since 1992 during this period sportsmen such as twice world champion Yapon Hajiyev, world champion Ruslan Zeynalov (kickboxing), silver medalist of world champion, judoist Seymour Heydarov, silver and bronze medalists of the European Championship Seyhoun Aghayev (billiards) and Ramzi Mammadov (karate), paralympian Elnur Aliyev wrote their names with golden letters in the history of our school.

The sportsmen from Shusha City were honored more than once with valuable gifts, diplomas and honors of the Ministry of Education, Ministry of Youth and Sport, “Education” Republican Sport Centre.
