The Children – Youth Sport Chess School of Gakh Region started working since 1983. The school participated at local and republican events successfully and gained a number of achievements. The 3 graduates from the school are world champions. They are the International Gross master Aynur Sofiyeva, FIDE master Parvana Ismayilova and a young chess player Khanim Balajayeva.
