The portal was founded on 15 September -15 December, 2011 by the “ELS” Independent Investigations Centre with the financial support of the State Support Council for NGOs under the President of the Azerbaijan Republic.
The foundation of the project was established by the “Civil Society for the sake of our future” campaign carried out by “ELS” Independent Investigations Centre in January, 2011. Studying of the created conditions for moral, cultural – spiritual formation of youth and children, finding out the current problems and investigation the ways of resolving them, preparation of proposals were within the project. Moreover, monitorings, opinion polls, two round tables were held and the package of proposals were compiled within the project. The prepared proposals were submitted to Mr. Ilham Aliyev, the president of the republic.
The goal for creation of the web portal is to establish the information base required for formation of children as comprehensively developed members of our society. Both national literary and musical works created for children and the works created by our world-famed coryphaeus, as well as the valuable works from the world nations’ oeuvre and activity are considered to be collected here.
Along with these, the information regarding the opportunity enabling development of our children’s abilities and skills were also included into the base of the portal. The parents can get the full information about the centers regarded for free education of their children in such circles as music, dance, sport, reading, drawing, ecology, tourism and local lore, preparation for school and other circles at the state non – scholastic educational institutions in the regions where they live or near their home.
Many people made contributions upon the creation of the portal base. First, we want to express our deep gratitude to the department on public – political problems of the President’s Administration of the Azerbaijan Republic, the State Support Council for NGOs under the President of the Azerbaijan Republic, the department of education and non – scholastic institutions of the Ministry of Education, the preschool, general and non – scholastic sectors of the Baku City Education Office, Baku Music Academy, Baku Music College, Azerbaijan Writers’ Union, Azerbaijan Union of Composers, Art Gymnasium of the Republic under the Azerbaijan National Conservatoire, Azerbaijan State Pedagogical University, Baku Slavic University, as well as the contributors of the “Goyarchin” (Dove) children magazine who supported the project and gave their recommendations during the working process.
We want to thank to the significant figures of our country Ogtay Zulfugarov, Ogtay Rajabov, Nazim Kazimov, Baba Vaziroghlu, Vahid Aziz, Faig Sujaddinov and Anvar Abluch who haven’t denied of sharing their precious time with us since the early days of the project. Meanwhile, we’d like to underline the contributions of MInara Dadashova, the chairwoman of the “Musical Instuments” department of the Azerbaijan Pedagogical University, Zulfiyya Ibrahimova, the art director of “Banovsha” children chorus and dance ensemble.
It’s notable that the foundation of information base of the portal is the initial phase. We invite you to participate closely in this work! We need your assistance in order to base completely the oeuvres of our national cultural heritage created for children in our portal. You can send us your works, poems and stories of your children, drawings, the records of the songs and dances performances to us. After taking a copy of your books, disks, photos, audio and video records of the presented materials we shall give them back to you!
